Looking for RN Nursing Supervisor in White Plains, NY!  Salary is commensurate with experience, ranges $60,461 (5 Years) to $86,446 (35 years) annual. The person oversees five units.  Below are the differentials added to the base salary.

TITLE:  Nursing Supervisor 
DEPARTMENT: Nursing Administration
REPORTS TO: Asst. Director of Nursing/ Director of Nursing 

JOB SUMMARY:
She/he has the authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing and administrative management of the clinical areas. Responsibilities include: organizational planning, nursing practice and assessment, distribution and management of staff, education of staff and disciplinary action as indicated. Responsible for supervision of a minimum of 32 to a maximum of 55 persons on evenings, nights minimum of 15 to a maximum of 30 persons.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education and experience required: 
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN and a minimum of 2 years of acute care and/or rehabilitation nursing experience and 2 years of supervisory experience desired. A minimum of 5 years of nursing practice. Person with equivalent education and evidence of clinical and managerial abilities considered.
 
Learning Time: 1 year to 18 months on the job training.
 
Interrelationships: Interacts with all nursing staff, clinical staff, department heads, community agencies, college instructors from affiliating agencies and students.

Special Requirements: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State. The ability to implement the nursing process; plan, implement, evaluate and supervise patient care. Fluent in both written and verbal English. Expert interpersonal skills, certification or recertification in CPR required.
