Bottom Line Systems, Inc. is a regional health care consulting company, specializing in identifying and collecting managed care underpayments and denials for our clients for the past 12-years!  Due to rapid growth, we are seeking to add several energetic, passionate people to our organization of Managed Care Professionals.  We are currently in need of a Regional Manager to join our team in Philadelphia.

 

Position Responsibilities

Managing team of Claim Analysts throughout multiple client locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey Assigning and distributing work to analyst team

Act as a liaison between clients, analysts and BLS ManagementSupport Analysts on contracts as needed

Assist team members with difficult issues concerning their work or issues with carriers in receiving payment Review and audit the quality and accuracy of staff’s work including monthly reports Assist in the development of staff members by acting as an instructor and mentor Educate Analysts on contracts as needed Motivate analysts to include team building and increased productivity Create new ideas and offer suggestions to enhance quality of work performed Audit claims and search for underpayments, review refund requests and denials Review managed care contracts and compare against claims to identify underpayments for assigned clients Investigate various issues with payors and their contracts and respond to questions to reach problem resolution Collect claims data to be reviewed Call payors to resolve underpayments found Write adjustment and appeal letters as needed to payors to resolve underpayments Communicate with client contact concerning all issues related to billing, posting, contracts, etc...both in an informal manner through daily contact and formal manner through scheduled meetings

Position Requirements

 Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in an operational setting, preferably in managed care or hospital patient accounting department Minimum of three (3) years supervisory or management experience Analytical and problem solving skills necessary to investigate various issues with carriers and their contracts and to respond to questions and resolve problems Interpersonal skills, professional conduct and communication skills to effectively gather information, ask questions and discuss problems with internal personnel and clients Leadership abilities in order to give constructive feedback, coach, and listen to staff members Ability to travel to visit or set-up work sites PC skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows based spreadsheet, word processing Experience working with ICD-9, CPT-4 and/or HCPCS coding systems Knowledge of insurance submittal procedures and medical forms (including UB04 and CMS1500) Experience performing account resolution with third party payors Accounts receivable collections from payors (no self pay) Ability to effectively identify and communicate payor trends Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
