At Odyssey HealthCare, we improve the quality of life for patients facing terminal diagnoses and provide support for their loved ones. We've been meeting this need since 1996. Today, Odyssey is one of the largest hospice providers in the country, offering end-of-life care and support to thousands of patients and their families across the country each day. Our team of caregivers consist of registered nurses, physicians, home healthcare aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement counselors and trained volunteers. Patients typically receive our services in their own homes or in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. But we also serve patients in hospitals and, in Odyssey's own freestanding hospice facilities. SOUTHEAST REGIONAL CLINICAL DIRECTOR - CLINICAL AFFAIRS Directs and coordinates the clinical activities of a geographic area of the United States to ensure compliance with hospice standards of practice, applicable law and regulation, accrediting standards and company clinical policies and procedures. Responsible for the overall implementation of current clinical standards and practices through the performance improvement process and development of staff. Ensure office complies with Federal and State Regulations and office maintains licensure and Medicare Certification. Assists Corporate Director of Clinical Affairs to achieve the efficient and effective delivery of patient care resulting in positive patient outcomes through the implementation of clinical standards and education by performing the following duties. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s budgets. Travel by automobile and airplane as necessary. Requirements: Registered Nurse License Required Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting. Understanding of Hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying. Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices. Demonstrate excellent observation, assessment, nursing judgment and communication skills.
