Location: Boston Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Medical/Health Relevant Work Experience: 1+ to 2 Years Career Level: Entry Level The Radiology Technician Assistant (RAD Tech Assistant) assists technologists in exam rooms and in safely transporting patients to and from the Emergency Department Radiology Area on Friday and Saturday nights. The Assistant performs a wide variety of technical, clerical and patient care duties that provides assistance to patients, radiologists, technologists and nurses. The qualified individual demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all staff. This position is a weekend night position. The hired candidate will work Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7:30 AM.Requirements: NOTE:This position is a weekend night position. The hired candidate will work Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7:30 AM.High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous patient care experience is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. CPR certification is preferred.This position requires normal physical activity, as the job involves lifting and positioning patients (10% of the time) and walking (80% of the time) between patient areas (in department or on patient floors).
