RN Electrophysiology - TX & VA

This day position (Monday-Friday) will provide nursing coverage for Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.

A highly progressive lab which performs diagnostic, interventional electrophysiology  and device implant procedures.

 

Complex procedures include atrial fibrillation ablation, cardiac mapping, intracardiac ultrasound, lead extractions and research studies.

 

Duties include administration of conscious sedation, circulating, hemodynamic monitoring and recording, knowledge of radiological equipment, physician assist and aseptic technique.

 

Ability to assist with all aspects of electrophysiology procedures, to include patient assessment, pre and post care and planning.  

 

Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills. Computer skills/knowledge required.

 

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure.

 

At least 2 years of nursing experience in Critical Care, Electrophysiology or Cardiac Catheterization preferred.

 

ACLS/BCLS certification.
