RN - Cardiothoracic Specialty Coordinator

Job Summary Assists manager in overseeing and directing the specific specialty of cardiac/thoracic/vascular/and endovascular surgery, ensuring effective operation while providing services for both Mission and CHOC patients. Ensures quality patient care matching staff skill levels to procedures. Serves as resource in resolving patient care problems and instrumentation issues specific to this specialty. Minimum Requirements Current CA RN license and BLS. Two years recent clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery. Certification in clinical practice area. Current ACLS and PALS, or must be obtained within six months. Preferred: Two years intensive clinical and leadership experience in cardiovascular surgery specialty area. Current continuing education in specialty area.
