COOPER UNIVERSITY HOSPITALCAMDEN, NEW JERSEYOutstanding career growth opportunity for two BC/BE Rheumatologists to join the leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services, medical education and clinical research in southern New Jersey.Cooper University Hospital (CUH) is located in Camden, NJ, 1 mile over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge from Philadelphia, PA. The area is culturally rich, with highly desirable residential communities and school systems.Cooper is eagerly anticipating the fall 2008 opening of our new 10-story Patient Care Pavilion. This $222 million expansion project will feature a state-of-the-art intensive care unit, operating rooms, private patient rooms and a new laboratory.CUH has a medical staff of over 500 physicians in 75 specialties. The only academic medical center in southern New Jersey, CUH has more “Top Docs” in more specialties than any other South Jersey provider. CUH is a clinical affiliate campus of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (UMDNJ/RWJ), and offers a collaborative, supportive, growth-oriented work environment in a financially strong organization. CUH’s innovative “Centers of Excellence” include: The Cooper Neuroscience Institute, The Cooper Heart Institute, Critical Care, The Cancer Institute of New Jersey at Cooper, The Bone & Joint Institute, the only Level I Trauma Center in southern New Jersey, and The Children’s Regional Hospital in South Jersey.The Division of Rheumatology maintains practice locations in Camden, Cherry Hill and beginning in late 2008, Voorhees, New Jersey. The Division of Rheumatology offers one of the only three rheumatology fellowship programs in New Jersey. Applicants should therefore have a strong interest in teaching. The Division of Rheumatology is a leading teacher in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Applicants should have experience in this technique or a strong desire to learn it.
