RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONER - LEVEL I / 05-6508
Position Description:
CRT eligible with successful completion of the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) examination, administered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), within one year of date of graduation.RRT eligible with successful completion of the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) examination, administered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), within three years of date of graduation, if applicable.Hold a license to practice respiratory care in Pennsylvania. A certificate of completion in respiratory care from an AMA approved respiratory care program is required.An Associates Degree is preferred.No prior respiratory care experience is necessary.This is an entry level position. Ability to provide basic respiratory care to children.Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Internal Job Description : The Respiratory Care Practitioner Level 1 (RCP 1) is a novice to advanced beginner level practitioner of respiratory care. The RCP 1 at this level administers respiratory care modalities and performs routine care with guidance, following physician orders, established policies and procedures and the American Association of Respiratory Care Clinical Practices Guidelines. External Job Description : The Respiratory Care Practitioner Level 1 (RCP 1) is a novice to advanced beginner level practitioner of respiratory care.
