Quality Resource Specialist
Job Description: As an integral member of the healthcare team, the QRS is responsible for expediting patient care, quality assurance & utilization review activities. These activities include determining medical necessity for admission and/or transfer, clinical & support services required, chart review, interacting with insurance companies & other duties as needed.Job Qualifications: 1.Must read, write, understand & speak English in a clear & concise manner.2.Communication & Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals & collaborate with other members of the care center.3.Physical stamina & manual dexterity necessary to perform & teach designated skills/tasks in area of assignment.4.Analytical skills sufficient to track & trend quality assurance reviews, identify problems with specific solutions & change monitoring mechanisms, if necessary.5.Knowledge of keyboarding & basic computer skills.6.Utilization review & quality assurance experience desired.7.Demonstrate the following minimum requirements:1)Licensure:New York State License with current registration2)Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required3)Experience: 2-3 years of related nursing experience
