We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer with a Medical Devices background. ****Quality Engineer: Medical Devices Background****In this position, you will be responsible for providing quality engineering support for implanted medical devices. Quality Engineering activities support elements of new product development and sustaining activities.Review and approve engineering drawings. Perform hazard and risk assessment activities and reliability activities. Develop design verification & validation plans/protocols, execute plans/protocols, and write reports. Provide quality engineering support to new product development and sustaining engineering. Ensure project compliance to design controls and engineering “best practices”. Provide quality support for design and manufacturing issue resolution. Support test and process validations. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.Minimum Experience Required: 2-3 years as a Quality, Design or Test Engineer in a medical device design and manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Quality Engineer practices. Prefer experience in electrical and mechanical aspects of product development, manufacturing, and testing and/or an implanted device background. Knowledge of medical products, applicable industry standards, FDA Quality System Regulations, EU Medical Device Directives, and ISO 9000 Compliance. Working knowledge of US and European standards for medical device design (EN 60601-1, 45502-1, ISO 14971 etc.) all pluses.Equipment Used: Various mechanical and electronic measuring tools and gages, including calipers, micrometers, multimeters. Microsoft Office Suite.Field of Expertise: Quality, Process, and/or Test Engineering.Demonstrated energy and commitment to excellence. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and as a representative of our client.
