Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL) is a CLIA certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licensing, specializing in state of the art, automated DNA based molecular analysis of a variety of chronic and infectious illnesses. MDL specializes and performs Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with a larger menu of testing available in the field of infectious disease. Our main theme of research is in the field of Gynecology, Infectious Diseases, Infectious Arthritis, Tick-borne Diseases, Mycology, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
MDL is currently expanding and is looking for Full-Time reliable Quality Control Technician in our Hamilton, NJ facility.
3rd Shift Availability
Tuesday- Friday 10:00PM-8 AM
Job Description:Perform accessioning Quality Control checks. Review all test requisition forms and verify all specimen and test information entered into MDL’s proprietary software. Issue accessioning discrepancy review reports and scanning redo logs to the lab for corrective action.Perform real-time PCR analysis and interpretation of results using the Rotor- Gene softwareEnter and verify all laboratory result reports including Real- Time PCR, conventional PCR, western blots, and ELISA tests in MDL’s proprietary softwareSend appropriate samples back to the lab for repeat testing or additional testing via Auto hold Release or R&D confirmationFollow up on redo’s and results pendingPerform batch processing and printing of results to be releasedPerform weekly reporting of positive communicable disease results to state agencies as mandatedAssist Quality control coordinator as needed
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology or related Science field REQUIRED. Experience or familiarity with the PCR method, Molecular Biology, Bacteriology or Virology a plus.Must be detailed orientedMust go through a 3 month rotation in our clinical laboratory
