Join us in Baldwin Park in Southern California: Quality Analyst In this role, you will facilitate meetings regarding certain issues or agenda items for the purpose of maintaining the licensing and accreditation requirements. Duties include conducting reviews utilizing medical staff and multidisciplinary criteria/guidelines/indicators, determining which cases fail to meet the criteria and require further multidisciplinary review, and executing the quality improvement monitoring agenda for assigned departments, to include all aspects of data management and analysis of trends and patterns of practice. You will also serve as a resource regarding regulatory and organizational requirements; assure that activities related to the quality improvement process will meet the federal, state, and local standards and requirements; and serve as a liaison between the medical staff, ancillary support departments, and QI department members. Qualified candidates will have previous experience (usually two to three years) in either a medical staff or quality improvement function. Must have significant knowledge of JCAHO, Title 22, NCQA, and CMA standards and requirements, as well as of TQM and tools for indicator development and display. Also required is a broad working knowledge of medical care practice and procedures including familiarity with medical records and chart review, medical terminology certification, and strong statistical and data management skills. Candidates must also have the ability to analyze and summarize complex clinical situations and must be proficient with software used in the department. Preferred qualifications include a typing speed of 50 WPM, 10 key KSPM capabilities, and knowledge of the MIDAS/QRAD system, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
