CSG, a leading provider of mental health, mental retardation, children’s and eldercare services has an opportunity for a full time Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in our mental health Long Term Structured Residential (LTSR) program.
The LTSR program provides a stable community living environment for individuals with psychiatric disabilities to help them address individual needs toward the goals of recovery and independent living.
Job Description
The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) is responsible for fostering independent living skills in individuals who have a mental health diagnosis and reside in a Long Term Structured Residential program. The QMHP works with staff in implementing individual and group programming. In addition the QMHP provides responsible care to individuals in the program and is responsible for the routine operation of the home while on duty. The QMHP will serve a role in the clinical aspects of the individual’s recovery process.
Job Duties
§ Ensures the individual’s health, safety and welfare. Enhances the quality of the individual’s lives and integrates the individuals into the community.
§ Develops and implements all program plans designed to enhance the individual’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and independent living skills.
§ Develops and facilitates individual and group sessions as scheduled.
§ Completes all daily, weekly and monthly records. This includes, but is not limited to, treatment plans, reports, logs and documentation.
§ Communicates and collaborates with team members, individual’s families, involved agencies and the community in providing relevant information when needed and applicable.
§ The QMHP serves as a member of the treatment team.
§ Completes all duties and responsibilities in the daily operation of the residence.
§ Provides crisis management, intervention and is on-call as assigned.
§ Develop and implement treatment interventions.
§ Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
· Knowledge of MH diagnosis and symptomatology
· The ability to comprehend written and verbal information
· The ability to express thoughts in a concise and logical manner both in verbal and written form
· Familiarity in group dynamics as well as individual MH approaches and interventions.
· Proficient in clinical reporting skills such as written and verbal reports and plan.
Masters in Human Services required and licensure with 1 year of mental health clinical experience.
