QA Supervisor

For more information on Health Net, Inc., please visit the company’s Web site at www.healthnet.com JOB SUMMARY: The principle duty and responsibility of the QA Supervisor is to develop, implement and monitor the adherence to quality assurance standards for all Health Net information systems.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and enforce adherence to established quality assurance standards by application developers for all information systems so that our customers receive the necessary services, and errors are minimized. Lead and train other Quality Assurance Specialists. Create and manage project management related activities. Develop quality assurance procedures and standards. Perform other related duties including project support and communication activities as assigned by management. Administrate the enterprise defect tracking application Generate and distribute defect metrics and reports for management. Ensure compliance of development efforts with HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements REQUIREMENTS: Education: Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent business experience. Certification/License: Experience: Fours years of software test engineering, SQA or software development experience in a commercial software development environment, preferably with complex web applications and Internet-based products. Two years experience as asupervisor/lead of software test engineering or software development in a commercial software development environment. Must possess a good understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Must possess knowledge of the principles and practices of information systems and services. Must possess knowledge of the principles and practices of application systems analysis and design. Position duties require exceptional attention to detail.  A high quality of work must be consistently maintained. Excellent analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal, time management and problem solving skills required.  Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and participate fully in problem resolution required. Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, and learn new procedures and systems quickly. Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision with all levels of staff. Must maintain a professional image and have a strong commitment to customer service and dedication to the client.
