PURCHASING COORDINATOR:






Position Requirements:

This position would have the following responsibilities and ensure that we have adequate segregation of controls (orderer can not approve for payment, and segregate receiving where possible):

Ø Serve as backup to the Purchasing Supervisor in all aspects of her job (purchasing, facilities, maintenance, mailroom, couriers)

Ø Work with medical offices to determine ordering requirements and perform ordering of uniforms and lab coats for medical offices, office forms, charts, labels, wound products, break room supplies

Ø Assist with office supplies, printed materials, medical supplies, vaccine, and medication ordering and deployment

Ø Oversight of administrative function cost reduction through better vendor pricing / negotiation

Ø Oversight of service calls for copiers and fax machines

Ø Negotiating pricing for new and existing suppliers

Ø Maintaining relationships with current suppliers

Ø Assist with multiple deliveries that come through Purchasing

Ø Administrative functions such as filing, creating, maintaining, and tracking purchase orders, coding purchasing department invoices for submission to A/P, etc.

Ø Other projects as requested by the Purchasing Supervisor

 

Minimum qualifications:

Ø Bachelors degree, preferably in marketing, business or other related field of study

Ø Previous buying experience and working experience with online or internet purchasing and ordering

Ø Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ø Good vendor management skills

Ø Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel

Ø Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints to handle urgent requests

Ø Self-starter with little supervision required

Ø Basic knowledge of fax machines & copiers

Ø Team player

Ø  Able to lift 20 pounds
