Evergreen Physician’s P.A has an immediate opening for a psychiatrist to primarily serve our child/adolescent population in our Fayetteville and/or Lumberton office.
We are seeking full time employed psychiatrists or part time contract psychiatrists to provide these services.. The population served is a mix of private insured and patients formerly treated in the public sector. We have implemented an electronic medical record and telemedicine is an opportunity. Psychiatrists must be comfortable working in a medically driven system. This is strictly outpatient Monday – Friday office based employment. Compensation is competitive and salaried positions include 401K, professional dues reimbursement, paid malpractice and paid educational leave.
Evergreen Physicians. P.A. provides psychiatric services for Evergreen Behavioral Management, Inc. which has operated in North Carolina for the past 13 years. Evergreen supports medical treatment with comprehensive rehabilitative and outpatient psychotherapy services at five clinics in North Carolina as well as a recent office location in Atlanta, Georgia.
A. Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:
The purpose of the Clinical Services unit at Evergreen Behavioral Management, Inc. is to provide services for mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse clients. Services provided by this unit include Evaluation and Intake, Psychotherapy, Psychiatric/Medication Management, Psychological Services,Community Support Services, Diagnostic Assessments, and Intensive In-Home Services.
B. Primary Purpose of Position:
The Staff Psychiatrist is hired by and receives administrative supervision from the President/Chief Executive Officer or his/her designee. The responsibility to perform duties as outlined is commensurate with the appropriate level of authority. All activities of the Staff Psychiatrist, as they apply to agency operations, shall be in accordance with State and Federal standards which govern agency services and personnel.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Will consult regularly with Chief Executive Officer or designee as required to assist with budgeting, marketing, daily operations, and public relations efforts for the psychiatric department/location to which he/she may be assigned.
2. Ensure that each client receives appropriate treatment or habilitation, which is consistent with accepted standards of practice and the needs of individual clients, to include participation in the initial diagnostic assessment, development of person center plan, provision of service orders, prescribe medication, and continued follow-up for medication monitoring.
3. Initial psychiatric evaluations generally are expected to last no longer than 45-60 minutes, and follow-up appointments are expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.
4. Coordination with other professionals and other agencies as necessary to assure good communication and to monitor customer satisfaction.
5. Provide clinical consultation to psychologists, therapists and counselors as needed to ensure quality of care.
6. Provide supervision of Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other clinical/medical staff as required by state and federal regulations.
7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and routine staffing of individual cases. Will also provide crisis services and consultation as deemed appropriate.
8. May provide in-service training to clinicians in his/her areas of clinical expertise.
9. Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
10. Provide after-hours crisis consultation to Evergreen Behavioral Management, Inc. psychiatric patients as may be necessary. (This is a North Carolina Medicaid Provider requirement)
11. To make provisions for on-call emergency phone consultation/evaluation services as they pertain to a client’s needs which are directly related to their participation in treatment.
12. May provide in-service training to clinicians in his/her areas of clinical expertise.
13. Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
14. Provide after-hours crisis consultation to Evergreen Behavioral Management, Inc. psychiatric patients as may be necessary.
