Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - OUTSTANDING COMPENSATION
Exciting clinical staff expansion initiative: Three newly created Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner positions will be added to the Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center medical staff in late 2008 / early 2009. These positions will be primarily responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management to both inpatient and outpatient clients of the Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center.
The Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center is a 100-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital located in Bangor, Maine. The Center provides a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services to adults who have serious and persistent mental illness. The salary range for these positions is $100,000 - $120,000. In addition, employees will receive a benefits package which includes health insurance, disability and life insurance, professional liability insurance, 401k, six weeks of annual paid time off, and a $1,500 continuing education stipend. Vision, dental and dependent health insurance are optional benefits. Administrative and financial assistance with interview travel, state licensure application fees, and relocation expenses is provided.
Candidates must hold a Masters or Doctorate degree in nursing, be licensed professionally in Maine as an Adult or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and have an active DEA. Individuals who are eligible to obtain the latter two credentials, or those who hold an equivalent license in another state, may apply.
