The Renfrew Center has an immediate opening for an on-call Psych Tech at our Coconut Creek, Florida residential facility, located between Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale within a beautiful and tranquil setting.

The country's first residential eating disorder treatment facility, The Renfrew Center is a women's mental health center with eight East Coast locations and a nationwide professional resource network. The Renfrew Center specializes in the treatment of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder) and related mental health issues.

The Renfrew Center has treated over 50,000 women since opening our doors in 1985. From the beginning, we address both underlying issues and behavioral change, and our treatment programs include traditional psychotherapy, psychiatry, and nutritional counseling as well as art therapy, dance/movement therapy and psychodrama. Our comprehensive approach to mental health issues is backed by experienced senior staff members specializing in the psychology of women.

Treatment is designed to be collaborative rather than imposed, and our innovative programs emphasize the value and healing potential of healthy interpersonal relationships.

Responsibilities:

Providing therapeutic interaction with patients through participating in milieu activities; supervising patients, taking vital signs and weighing in; performing patient rounds and room rounds and other duties to support patient care.

Requirements:

BA required in Psychology, social work or similar field or 5 years experience in related field. Experience with this population strongly preferred and dedication to treating women with eating disorders is a must.  Shift: Evenings and weekends .
