Provider Contract Specialist
Responsible for ensuring the acquisition of PCPs, Specialist and Ancillary Providers to Care1st Health Plan’s direct contracted network. Negotiate and finalize contracts based upon network analysis as directed by management. Manage contracting efforts through entire procurement process and ensure accurate implementation. Conduct new provider orientations. Negotiate letters of agreement with non-contracted physicians and ancillary providers. Track and analyze network data and assist with provider recruitment efforts.
Requires 5 years experience in negotiating provider contracts, with thorough knowledge of provider contracting models and network development. Possess considerable knowledge of managed care and Medi-Cal. Bachelor’s Degree in health administration or equivalent preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Able to organize, analyze and implement processes and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Provider Contract Associate
Responsible for ensuring the process flow and filing of individual contracts for PCPs, Specialists, Ancillary Providers and Hospitals to the Care1st Health Plan direct contracted network. Maintain tracking logs. Prepare correspondence for contracts and assist with contract package distribution. Interact with other departments on contract matters. Assist with contract related issues.
Requires 2 years related management support experience. Knowledge of managed care, including Medi-Cal and Medicare preferred. Must possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as effective interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities, detail orientation, and follow through. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Provider Network Coordinator
Under general supervision of the Provider Network Operations Manager, will work in conjunction with the Provider Network Administrators in processing provider information and data.
Requires minimum 2 years related support experience, preferably in managed care. Knowledge of managed care and Medi-Cal preferred. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
