Project Management experience in health care strongly preferred.JOB SUMMARY: Project manages a variety of projects/initiatives in the Colorado Region. Provides leadership and thought partnering to business partners in planning and executing on the strategic objectives. May work with other project managers on large complex projects or independently on small to medium sized projects. Maintains and supports a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with the Principles of Responsibilities and applicable regulatory requirements, external laws and accreditation standards. Appropriately reports observed fraud or abuse.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business/health care administration or related degree and a minimum of four (4) years experience in program management, project management or strategic planning and execution. OR Master’s degree in business/health care administration or related degree, and a minimum of two (2) years experience in program management, project management or strategic planning and execution. Demonstrated skills in building effective business partner relationships. Effective communication skills with staff at all levels of the organization in facilitating, presenting and implementing strategic programs. Flexibility in accommodating diverse working styles. Extensive knowledge of health care issues and the health care industry preferred. Proficient in use of personal computer software, including Microsoft Office, Project, Visio. PMP certification desired.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Consulting & Relationship Building Facilitates collaboration with diverse groups and individuals to influence strategic planning and execution. Develops, maintains and effectively manages client relationships at all levels across the organization. Serves as mentor to grow and broaden department competencies. Identifies industry trends, conducts research to understand key issues, and applies to Kaiser Permanente. Project Management Develops and manages project plans, including defining deliverables, key milestones and critical path. Develops project outcome success measures. Identifies project barriers/constraints/risks and provides recommendations to mitigate. Formulates project methodologies and communication plans. Facilitates improvement efforts and develops implementation recommendations.Program Management Effectively sees how multiple projects connect and leverages those synergies to add the most value to KP. Effectively manages multiple projects and prioritizes work based on strategic objectives. Aligns projects with strategic objectives and identifies opportunities to increase efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, quality and service. Develops models to project impact of projects on resources.Functional and Environmental Factors available upon request.
