Program and Assistant Program Directors needed

VisionQuest, a behavioral healthcare organization, seeks Program Director and Assistant Program Director for our Lake County (Altoona) Florida program.  The person in this position will manage, identify, develop and monitor all components essential to the delivery of comprehensive program services for youth  from VisionQuest program’s throughout the country while these select youth perform Living History through Buffalo Soldier presentations.  Each program will last about a month.  Every month there will be a new program with different VisionQuest youth.

 

The Buffalo Soldiers were African Americans have fought in military conflicts since colonial days. However, the Buffalo Soldiers, comprised of former slaves, freemen and Black Civil War soldiers, were the first to serve during peacetime.

 

The Program Director will:

 

Provide direct supervision to staff and youth on a daily basis in the perimeter, school and wherever needed.

 

Manages and supervises day-to-day orderly operation of the Buffalo Soldier Living History Outdoor Program. 

 

Reviews and approves staff schedule.

 

 


Requirements: Minimum of a college degree in social science or a related field, plus at least two years' experience in residential and/or impact treatment programs.  Related work experience may be substituted as an equivalent to each year of a four-year college degree.  Supervisory experience required.
