Program Director
The Maitri Center is an Adult Day Health Care Program licensed by the State of New York Department of Health. Maitri is a safe place where individuals living with HIV/AIDS can participate in a continuum of services to help them live a full and productive life. The program provides: case management, medical and nursing care, supportive services, nutritious meals, exercise and fitness classes and facilities, recreational and complementary healing therapies and a caring and vibrant community. We are looking for a Program Director to assume strategic, financial and operational responsibility for effective operation of the Maitri Day Program. This position has four direct reports: Director of Social Services, Director of Program Operations, Transportation Coordinator and Operations Coordinator. Contracted medical services and food services activities also report in to this position. Accountabilities Establishing, executing and achieving strategic goals for the program. Achieving performance goals established by the board and senior management. Understanding program revenues and expenses and using this knowledge to maximize the program's financial margin (i.e., program revenue less expenses). Collaborating with senior management on annual budgeting and monthly and quarterly financial reviews. Working with Greyston's finance and accounting area to ensure effective recording, processing and management of financial information. Ensuring the highest level of clinical quality and superior service for day program members. Responsibility for all operational activity of the program, down to detailed operating and financial transaction level. Collaborating with department heads to develop effective processes for department activity; working with department heads and other staff to analyze and address operational challenges. Managing collaboration between day program staff and Greyston grants management and fiscal area(s) relative to government and private grant reporting. Establishing performance goals with direct reports; supervising, coaching and developing employee skills and performance.  Â
Demonstrating superior managerial and interpersonal skills in interfacing with employees within the program and across the organization. Oversee hiring, job description development and annual employee performance reviews and performance management process for day program staff. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.Â
Masters Degree preferred (e.g., business administration, public administration, medical field, social services). 10+ years of professional experience, 5+ years experience in a health services field, with increasing operational, financial and managerial responsibility over time. Experience in the HIV/AIDS field preferred. Skills and Abilities
