The Specialty Benefits portfolio includes Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Stop Loss.   This is a great opportunity for a career minded person with a desire to make a difference in healthcare!  In the role of an Associate Provider Service Specialist you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with dental practices with the long term goal of meeting our corporate mission of  "helping people lead healthier lives".By helping our providers, we help our customers.   Primary Responsibilities:   Your primary focus in the role of Associate Provider Service Specialist will be to develop and maintain strong provider relationships with a focus on large provider practices.  This will include ownership of, servicing to, and training for our contracted Dental Practice Management (DPM) groups in our western region (west of the Rockies).  You will be interfacing with providers and practice managers within our health plan's physician and provider delivery system.  You may also be involved in network expansion efforts.  This will be an opportunity to enhance corporate sales opportunities through expanded provider access in accordance with reimbursement and access strategies, ensuring network stability and cost savings for our customers.You will be based in our Santa Ana, California offices and have mostly day travel in the region with less than 25% overnight travel.    Factors which will guarantee your success in the role include: Well grounded in health care delivery systems Strong history of customer service Strong strategic and business acumen Ability to establish trust and credibility Ability to clearly and understandably articulate goals and expectations Ability to build strong relationships within and outside of company Demonstrate expert negotiation skills Effective interpersonal influence, collaboration and listening skills - seeks first to understand Capability to get results in a complex, often ambiguous environment Ability to take on and manage risks Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically Qualifications:3 years of  experience in dental, healthcare and/or health insurance 3 years of experience working with providers or members 3 years of experience in a client facing sales or customer service role.
