Product Sector Owner, Vice President
The Healthways Product Sector Owner serves as a key leader and subject matter expert in the development, implementation, analysis, and continuous improvement of a Healthways product sector. This position owns virtual P&L of that product sector and is responsible for the overall success in both achieving outcomes and return on investment of that sector. Key responsibilitiesProduct Innovation* Responsible for the development and direction of research aimed at improving current products and generating ideas for new products and services* Work closely with Markets, Sales, and Insight and Innovations teams to review and use existing customer insights to also aid in innovation and determine new products* Create, evaluate and analyze proposals for new products. * Present product ideas to senior management and seek approval for execution and launch. * Own the Product Roadmap for the assigned suite of Products* Virtual P & L for all products in the sector* Own the profitability, value propositions of the sector of productsProduct Management * Interaction with senior level management in Business Technology, CFO, Product Development, Delivery Support, Markets, Sales, and Marketing to help champion new ideas and ensure consistency in go-to-market strategies * Contribute to the development of product strategy and ensures achievement of milestones to implement the strategy* Serve as a key contributor and has responsibility for quality product delivery from product development* Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations and to strategy.* Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Outcomes to build on previous ideas and create new product strategies* Develop process for continuous review and updates to product roadmap to align with the company strategic objectives and ensure optimal ROI and Outcomes* 10+ years of health product management, operational experience at a senior level* 5+ years of P & L experience with revenue $30M+.Continuous Improvement * Conduct post-launch assessment of newly implemented products.* Develop continuous improvement programs to determine ROI and quality of outcomes related to changes and upgrades in products* Test the business case for alterations and customization of products* Oversee product updates, enhancements, and ongoing product maintenanceLeadership* Manage a team of colleagues in areas of career development, performance management, and talent development.* Operate as a senior leader within the company living by Healthways values* Effectively manage departmental budget to achieve Healthways overarching performance targetsQualificationsRequired* College degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience * Minimum 15 years industry and/or strategy experience * In-depth and thorough knowledge of the health care system, health plans, health insurance market, health care product development* Healthcare background, greater then 10 yrs, specifically in care management & wellness industry holding position of senior responsibility/accountability* Experience generating and testing hypotheses * Strategic thinker with a track record of success* Experience evaluating new product/market ideas * Strong management skills * Organizational & administrative skills * Superior interpersonal communication and extremely strong presentation skills * Industry networks * Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and opportunities * Familiarity with technical systems We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.leadership
