Summary:

· Directs the development of a comprehensive product marketing cycle by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Provides expertise in specific product area and develops strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan.

· Identifies market potential and audience, presents new product concepts, establishes pricing, executes pre and post launch strategies, and manages mature product.

· Coordinates all new product development for a particular product line to ensure concept is safe, efficacious and competitive in the market, and manages appropriate manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations to ensure accomplishment of financial/budgetary goals and optimum allocation of resources.

· Defines promotional activities and distribution channels.

· Conducts pre-contract liaison with product manufacturers and may participate in negotiating contract terms and conditions.

· Reviews changes in scope of project and advises management and customer of potential impact.

· Coordinates product introduction and market exploitation with marketing communication and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment.

· Provides continued product surveillance and management of established product to obtain financial objectives, and other duties as assigned.

· Manages resources to execute assigned projects.

Education and/or Experience:   

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills: 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
