PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:With guidance from the Director GH Marketing, Endocrinology, and of Saizen® Senior Product Manager, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of Saizen® marketing and promotional strategies and programs consistent with the marketing objectives of the corporation and the strategic drivers for Saizen®. MAIN INTERFACES:INTERNALLY:Endocrinology Therapeutic Area Sr. Management and entire team including Marketing team, Sales management, Key Account Managers (KAMs), Sales Operations, TA Controller, Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Supply Chain, Human Resources, IT, Business Planning && Analysis, Legal.EXTERNALLY:Advertising Agencies, promotional materials vendors and suppliers, health care providers including Pediatric Endocrinologists and Pediatric Nurses, Patient Advocate Associations, Call Center staff. KEY TASKS && RESPONSIBILITIES:The Saizen® Product Manager responsibilities comprise (but are not limited to):Support the Senior Product Manager through the design of the Brand Plan aligned with the Saizen® strategy as defined by the Director GH Marketing Gathers, analyzes, and assembles information and data necessary for the development of assigned portions of the marketing plan Management and implementation of the tactics and marketing programs aligned with Saizen® strategy as defined by the Director GH Marketing Manages the conceptual development of the promotional materials to correspond with the product's positioning and key messages Works with Marketing Research to develop and test the products' positioning and key messages that maximize the products' attributes Identifies field market research needed to understand the customer and the changing marketplace Coordinates the development and production of physician and patient education programs consistent with the product's positioning and key messages Assists in the preparation of new product launch plans and the management and execution of such launch plans for assigned new products Providing continuous support and direction to Saizen® Key Account Managers with regard to implementation of tactical programs and utilization of promotional materials Fostering seamless communication between marketing, medical affairs, medical operations and sales Marketing budget management for Saizen® Purchase Order process Vendor management Promotional materials inventory management POA meetings execution, supporting the Senior Product Manager Speaker programs management, speaker trainings, ROI monitoring Advisory boards event planning and executionParticipation in the Promotional and Scientific Materials Review with 100% compliance and adherence to the processOther related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/LANGUAGES Ø Bachelors Degree required; MBA preferred. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS && EXPERIENCE Ø 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry; minimum of 3 years of successful product management-level experience in MarketingØ Thorough knowledge of tactical marketing, marketing research, and advertising/ marketing communicationsØ Proven ability to successfully implement key launch programsØ Demonstrated ability to effectively align marketing activities with the sales organizationØ Experience in the field of Endocrinology preferredØ Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Lotus Notes databases PERSONAL SKILLS && COMPETENCIES Ø Strong analytical skillsØ Strong oral and written communication skillsØ Strong presentation skillsØ Demonstrated ability to lead and work well within cross-functional teamsØ Demonstrated initiative && creativity ADA ESSENTIAL DUTIES (i.e., normal office duties; must be able to push, lift, pull up to 30 pounds; travel demands, etc.) Availability to travel at least 30% of working time.
