Practice Office Manager

Position Summary:

 

The Practice Office Manager is responsible for managing all administrative and operational functions associated with a new Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice.  This includes ensuring a smooth and efficient operation, personnel management and patient and physician relations.

 

Responsibilities:

· Supervising non-physician clinical and administrative personnel in the office.

· Evaluating performance and recommending merit increases and disciplinary action.

· Resolving work problems to ensure quality patient service.

· Handling various personnel matters including forms and procedures as required.

· Maintains internal controls for both the billing and cash management functions for the office.

· Participates in the interviewing, hiring and orientation process for office personnel.

· Assists in the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the site as well as new office procedures as necessary to improve office flow and overall operations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.  An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field is preferred.  A minimum of 5 years experience working in a physician office with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
