Plastic Surgery Nurse

Busy cosmetic surgery practice seeks experienced nurse to handle patient care three days a week.  Responsibilities include preparing patients for surgery to include screening medications, ordering lab work, calling in prescriptions and providing detailed aftercare instructions.  After surgery, the nurse is responsible for closely following patient: removing dressing and cleaning incisions, suture and drain removal, scar treatment and reinforcing patients' understanding of their aftercare routines.  There is occasional opportunity to assist physician with office procedures and injections.  This is a very large and well-established practice and the perfect opportunity for someone who seeks a challenging but rewarding part-time position.  The nature of the job requires that applicant must have exemplary character and work ethic.  A compassionate and direct approach with our patients that ensures the highest standard of patient care is of utmost importance.
