Physical Therapy Supervisor

Summary of Essential Job Duties: The Therapy Supervisor in our Acute Therapy department is responsible for the daily operations, overall quality of services, and program development provided by staff assigned to specified program/service areas.  The supervisor ensures that patient care is consistent with the Plan for Provision of Patient Care, The Nursing Standards of Care/Practice (if applicable), The Performance Improvement Plan, The Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Patient Education Plan, and Professional Organizational Standards.  She/he maintains clinical competency skills in their profession including the ability to provide care maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special patient populations of diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.  This is a FULL TIME position.Requirements/Experience: Masters Degree or higher preferred.  Valid and current license in the state of California.  Five years clinical experience including two years supervisory experience preferred.  Must be competent by virtue of training and/or experience to perform evaluations, design and implement treatment plans, and provide education in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient.  Communicates effectively with staff, patients, and other health care professionals.  Able to effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.  Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills).  As applicable to individual job duties and expectations, employee must additionally possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation development, e-mail, browsers and online reporting.  Rehabilitation experience required.  Analytical and critical thinking with integration of data and daily practice preferred.Physical Demands: Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on  an intermittent basis; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions.
