Physical Therapy Assistant I: Full time days

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A.A. DegreeCurrent California Physical Therapist Assistance license Current BLS Certificate Healthcare experience preferred

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists the Physical Therapist in identifying biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educations and discharge needs of the patient as evidenced in the patient’s medical recordUtilizes the professional practice process in patient careMaintains all necessary documentation and records in a legible an complete mannerCollaborates with the Physical Therapist and other professional disciplines to implement the plan of care and discharge plan for each patient as evidenced in the patient medical recordsBasis decisions on facts, clinical reasoning and sound judgment; seeks assistance when necessaryCommunicates the patient’s response to treatment and the effectiveness of the plan of care set by the Physical TherapistNotifies Charge Nurse immediately of significant problems or unusual incidents and when appropriate takes action to interveneDemonstrates competency in Physical Therapy by completing department specific competency requirements within specified time frameAssist in keeping inventory/monitoring supplies and equipmentOther duties as assigned or required
