Works with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications. Must have ability to work independently & assume responsibility for implementation of special projects. Responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients. Must be able to work at multiple sites. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or equivalent at least 18 years of age. One year of college and one year experience in related field. Experience with Computers & Windows based systems. Must have a minimum of 1000 hours experience as a Pharmacy Tech. CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Must have successfully passed the Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) Exam and be registered with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Tech.
