Pharmacist - Clinical Coordinator, Pharmacotherapy / Residency Director - Days - M-F - No Weekends

Our client is an accredited, not for profit teaching institution, and a member of the New Jersey Council of Teaching Hospitals.
Due to growth our client has an immediate opportunity for a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator to work closely with other clinical pharmacists in assuming responsibility and accountability for the management of medication therapy and the administravive responsibility of the Pharmacy Residency Program in a direct patient care setting.
Position Summary:
This position will work closely with other clinical pharmacists in assuming responsibility and accountability for the management of medication therapy in a direct patient care setting. This can be accomplished independently or in collaboration of other healthcare professionals. This position will assist in policy development in collaboration with pharmacy clinician, managers and other healthcare professionals. This position will also provide education of hospital professional staff and patients.
This position will work closely with other clinical pharmacy coordinators in developing his/her own clinical practice, collaborating and consulting on the therapeutic use of medication, providing evidence based data and recommendations to patients and healthcare professionals. This position will provide education and training to the pharmacy staff on clinical pharmacy services.
This position assumes the administrative responsibility of directing the pharmacy residency program. This position will direct preceptors, clinicians, staff members, and essential others in meeting the national requirements of the program. This position will also actively participate in the education and training of the pharmacy residents.
Position/Schedule:
Days – Monday through Friday – No Weekends
Education/Experience:
▪ Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy required.
▪ 1 to 3 years Clinical Pharmacy experience require
▪ Completion of PGY I Pharmacy Residency preferred
▪ New Jersey licensure or eligible
▪ Clinical and administrative experience or interest desirable
▪ Demonstrated professional manner with ability to communicate at all levels
▪ Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services.
