Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital is a 120-bed hospital in Wheaton, Illinois, that is dedicated to the delivery of rehabilitative medicine. Founded in 1972 by the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters, the hospital is part of Marianjoy, Inc., a network of care that manages more than 400 beds within the greater Chicago area. Throughout the network, Marianjoy provides inpatient, comprehensive outpatient and subacute rehabilitation services. Marianjoy is a member of Wheaton Franciscan Services, Inc., located in Wheaton, Illinois. Sponsored by the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters, Wheaton Franciscan Services, Inc. owns and operates more than 100 health and shelter service organizations in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Position Description:Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital offers patients a full spectrum of rehabilitation services through our inpatient care, outpatient therapies, physician clinics and subacute sites in locations throughout the greater Chicagoland area. We currently have a full time opening for a Pediatric Neuropsychologist based at our 120-bed acute care hospital located in Wheaton, Illinois. The pediatric neuropsychologist identifies the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs of pediatric inpatient and outpatient populations and provides appropriate treatment based on assessment of these needs. The position requires excellent behavior management skills for facilitating patient compliance and for enhancing emotional/behavioral adjustment in patients and families. Experience with brain injury, developmental disabilities and attention/learning dysfunction is required. This position requires strong communication skills for interactions with families and other clinical disciplines. The pediatric neuropsychologist position requires the ability to work with school systems and provide appropriate input at individual educational planning meetings. We are seeking a licensed, PhD or Psy.D. neuropsychologist with at least 3-years of experience in similar setting.Qualifications:See job description.
