Payroll and Credentialing Representative

The Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center is now accepting applications for the following position:

 

HUMAN RESOURCES PAYROLL &

CREDENTIALING REPRESENTATIVE

 



Responsibilities:

1.       Responsible for preparing bi-weekly payroll through the collection of employee timesheets.

2.       Assists with identifying timesheet errors and personnel policy/payroll exceptions, including supervisor signature approvals.

3.       Responsible for data entering all payroll information, successful transmittal of payroll files to vendor, and distribution of paychecks to employees.

4.       Responds to employee requests and questions in absence of Human Resources Manager.

5.       Assists with preparation of New Hire Orientation for new employees, including assembling new hire packets.  Assists with collection of all new hire documentation.  Prepares new employee files.

6.       Assists with Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed.

7.       Contacts new Health Center providers to orient them and assist them in credentialing process and document collection.

8.       Collects all applicable current licensing documents & process according to policy.

9.       Identify provider insurance credentialing requirements and insure provider credentialing for insurance purposes is completed and maintained in accordance with third party payer requirements.

10.   Processes and completes credentialing and re-credentialing applications of health care providers.

11.   Coordinates and prepares for regular credentialing meetings with Credentialing Committee.



Hours:   Full-time, Non-exempt.  Position offers competitive salary and excellent benefit package.

 

Qualifications:

1.    College degree in related field, or a minimum of 1-3 years experience in human resources.

2.       Prior experience processing payroll required.

3.       Knowledge of Paychex or ADP payroll software preferred.

4.       Knowledge of or prior work experience in medical billing preferred.

5.       Demonstrated proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

6.       Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

7.       Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

8.       Experience in health care setting and diverse culture preferred.
