Prepares the payroll on a bi-weekly basis.  S/he prepares payroll related summaries, surveys, reports, including the reporting and filing of the quarterly and year-end taxes.  The Payroll Representative adheres to the highest standard of professional integrity and work values.  S/he maintains confidentiality in dealing with all staff, applicants, and sensitive situations arising in the agency.

High school degree or equivalent required with some college or technical school training in accounting as applied to the payroll system. Five years in accounting or business office with a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience. Excellent data entry skills Working knowledge of Federal and State payroll tax regulations and reporting. Computer experience including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic transmittals, electronic mail and integrated Payroll/Human Resource programs. Ability to work with little supervision, exercising moderate degree of discretion and independent judgment. Knowlege of general payroll practices, including wage and hour regulations. Good communication skills; organized and detail oriented.
