TITLE: PATIENT SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE
POSITIONS: FULL TIME
LOCATION: ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Patient Support, the Patient Support Representative is responsible for screening all uninsured/underinsured in-house patients for possible third party reimbursement. This includes completing all applications, scheduling appointments and acting as a liaison between the third party agency and the patient, both while the patient is still in-house and after discharge.
In addition, other job responsibilities include answering phones, filing, mass mailouts, processing return mail, screening patients who call in to response to mailouts, copying, faxing, ordering supplies, assisting with the completion of weekly and monthly reports and any additional duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates will provide the highest quality of Customer Service to patients, hospital staff, co-workers and guests. Candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and must be able to multi task while maintaining customer service, including teamwork, attention to behavior and respect, all with minimal supervision. Candidate will maintain their own professional growth through appropriate in-service programs and other related education.

College graduate or 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred but not required.
