Patient Registration Rep I

We are currently seeking a Patient Registration Rep I for our Emergency Room Department.  This position is located in Evanston, convenient to METRA & CTA transportation. 

In this role, you will:

-Input patient demographics into the Medipac and/or EPIC systems.

-Verify insurance information with patients and/or with online software (THIN).

-Scan insurance card copies and all other patient service documentation into EPIC system.

-Report all service issues.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred. 

 

-At least 1 year customer service experience in a telecommunication or healthcare field.

 

-Six months of job experience with computers; experience with computer programs like Microsoft Excel preferred. 

 

-Knowledge of medical terminology also preferred.
