Experience in having worked for a provider of care, not an Insurance Company is essential.  This position will not be linked to one office or facility. It is a liaison position between several locations in a metropolitan area. This is a position that will allow an individual to make their own schedule for the most part. What a great break from sitting behind a desk and answering questions on the phone.  Requirements Clear understanding of government health insurance coverage (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, etc.). Primary focus on government payor knowledge and expertise. Experience in working for a health care provider / hospital - not an insurance company. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Highest level of dedication and compassion to customer service. Experience in communicating effectively with patients.
