Patient Financial Services Representatives
Banner Health, Arizona’s largest healthcare organization and the 2nd largest private employer in the state, is currently seeking Patient Financial Services (PFS) representatives to join its team. The PFS Reps coordinate and facilitate patient billing and collection activities. This involves following patient accounts through the billing process and working closely with health insurance companies through claims processing, ensuring reimbursement to the facility in a timely and accurate manner. Positions are currently located in Central Phoenix, but will move to Central Mesa in February/March 2009. Banner Mesa Medical Center near Country Club and Brown is currently under renovations to house PFS. The finished product will include state-of-the-art design and technology conducive to a pleasing work environment and culture. These positions require a High School Diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in patient financial services, previous experience working with health insurance and the ability to read contractual language. We prefer experience with health insurance companies such as Ahcccs, Medicare, Medicare HMO, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tri-Care and Commercial Contracts (Aetna, Cigna, UHC, etc).
