Patient Account Manager
We currently seek a strong leader to plan, organize, direct, staff and control a wide range of operations and activities pertaining to hospital business office functions, including patient account maintenance, billing services, cashiering and credit/collections. We'll rely on you to provide daily direction and leadership to your staff, develop and administer new business office programs and services and participate in Hospital strategic development and planning processes. You will be expected to ensure that patient accounts are maintained accurately and that medical services are billed appropriately to maximize reimbursement and support the hospital's financial system, assist in the development and implementation of computerized processes, research, recommend and participate in the selection of equipment and serviced contractors and assist the Patient Financial Services Director with budgets and expenditures.
The ideal candidate may possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Care Administration, Accounting or a related field and 5+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience related to health care access or patient financial services, including at least 1 year in an acute care setting and 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
