Job Description

Individual will enter outpatient and inpatient registrations into the Hospital Computer System accurately and timely. Assembles patient's chart and account folder with the appropriate forms accurately and timely. Calls the insurance company for verification of the patients for audits. Maintains 98% or more accuracy rate. Collects all co-payments and deductibles. Assumes role of Admitting Clerk at designated times. Documents patient's insurance coverage and benefit information on the patient account folder accurately.
Minimum 2 years prior work experience in admitting, registration or hospital billing OR have working knowledge of registration, insurance, and billing requirements. Possess background in medical terminology and medical insurance. Equivalent relative experience dealing with the public required
