Part-Time Development Intern (Temporary Assignment)

Position:Part-Time Development Intern
$10 per hour for undergrad, $15 per hour for student working on related Masters Degree.
The position require 2 full days per week.
Location: East Pasadena, CA
Summary :
The Development Intern reports to the Director of Development. The position is a temporary student assignment working as directed in the Development Department. The position works closely with the Director of Development, Special Events Coordinator and the Development Associate to help coordinate the Agency’s fundraising events and to provide support and assistance as needed. Additional support may be needed for the Grants and Research Coordinator.
Qualifications:Student in good standing in a Development related field of studyExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent writing and verbal skillsAbility to assist with the preparation of granst and proposalsExcellent computer skills. Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and a data base requiredExperience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Quark Express preferredPossess a valid California drivers license and a clear driving recordDetail, multi-task orientedMust be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a teamAbility to relate harmoniously with volunteers, staff and clients of diverse backgrounds and economic statusAbility to take directionAbility to be flexible, work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
