PROVIDER EDUCATION SPECIALIST-MCR

•  Coordinating and conducting education and service to the Medicare provider community.

•  Acting as a liaison between all provider types and internal Highmark Medicare Service areas.

•  Responding to complex inquiries regarding Medicare billing requirements, coverage issues, regulations and law and settlement processes.

•  Conducting education primarily via face to face venues including workshops, classes and at partnered sponsored events.

•  Developing agendas, speaking points, presentation materials and handouts.

•  Delivering an effective presentation and responding to questions.

•  Identifying educational needs.

•  Maintaining an effective rapport with customers, medical societies and professional organizations.

•  Traveling throughout the contractor area on a regular basis.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•  High school diploma or GED

•  One to three years experience in Medicare Part A and/or Part B

•  Two years of public speaking experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•  CPC, CPC-H

•  Three to four years experience with the Medicare Part A and/or Part program

•  Three to four years experience with the FISS processing system and/or the MCS processing system

•  Three to four years clinical experience
