PHYSICIAN RECRUITER
Job Overview: Responsible for filling physician vacancies internal and external to the Sentara organization. Coordinate and organize all physician search activity; assist private physician groups with the recruitment process; coordinate and facilitate the sharing of physician resumes; provide timely follow-up on recruitment efforts for each candidate. Screen physician applicants; facilitate pre/post offer process; drive the sales process through networking and relationship building; strive to meet staffing goals as identified by Sentara Healthcare.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct recruitment of physicians and/or hospitalists within a Hospital, Clinical Recruitment Firm or Integrated Healthcare settings.
Qualified candidates will possess a strong knowledge of recruitment principles and theories. Documented effectiveness in developing physician recruitment plans; project management/multi-tasking capabilities; identifying and resolving effectively, problematic situations; demonstrated strong sourcing and interviewing skills; ability to market to and influence candidates related to employment. Strong oral and written communication skills a must. Familiarity with recruitment software; proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel, and other database skills as needed. Ability to screen physician applicants; drive the sales process through networking and relationship building; apply skills of self motivation and development; read, interpret and apply policies, procedures and legal requirements; able to build working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization; function independently with minimal direct supervision.
