$68.33 - $72.07 hourly $5,466.34 - $5,765.58 biweekly $11,843.73 - $12,492.08 monthly $142,124.74 - $149,904.98 annually Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley is seeking a PHYSICIAN III. MUST be FAMILY MEDICINE Board Certified with TEACHING EXPERIENCE. Obstetrics & Women's Health experience desired. RCRMC is looking for a junior/mid-career faculty with experience or interest in obstetrical care. This is the fully qualified journey level class. Incumbents provide the full range of duties and are experienced physicians. Incumbents may assist in providing instruction and direction to residents, interns, medical students and Physicians at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. Incumbents are required to be credentialed by Riverside County Regional Medical Center for privileges as well as Medi-Cal Managed Care plans or other health plans. A teaching hospital accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), RCRMC offers training programs for nursing students, medical residents, and allied health professionals. The Medical Center is a 520,000 square foot state-of-the-art tertiary care and level II adult and pediatric facility, licensed for a total of 439 beds. There are 362 licensed beds in the main acute-care hospital, and 77 licensed beds in a separate psychiatric facility. RCRMC has 12 operating rooms, a helipad located directly adjacent to the Trauma Center, and state-of-the-art digital radiology services, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computerized tomography (CT) and all single bed rooms. There are also adult, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, a birthing center and complete pulmonary services including hyperbaric oxygen treatments. Examples Of Duties: PATIENT CARE: Patient medical examination, diagnosis, and treatment. TEACHING: Provides after hours and weekend faculty call coverage; conducts clinical teaching rounds with residents/medical students, and other learners. Develops and monitors assigned curriculum areas of medical education. Educates residents and peers by giving formal presentations and conferences. ADMINISTRATIVE: Maintains organization and efficiency with assigned administrative tasks. Serves as a member of various hosptial committees to represent the department. Participates effectively in departmental performance improvement projects and activities. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Maintains professional continuing medical education relevant to clinical scope of care and job functions. Strives to set professional development goals for self. Performs scholarly activity/research related to Family Medicine. Physician III General Duties: * In the course of supervising medical cases, conducts medical examinations for inpatients; diagnoses medical conditions; prescribes and administers treatment and/or medication. * Performs or assists in performing surgical operations; supervises pre- and post- operative care of surgical cases. * Orders examinations, analysis, imaging diagnostic tests, and special diets; conducts rounds and reviews reports, records and general progress of patients. * Assists in directing and supervising the work of residents, interns, and medical students in an assigned field. * Arranges and conducts consulting conferences and chart reviews for the discussion of the surgical, medical and mental conditions of patients and their final diagnosis and treatment. * Prepares reports and correspondence; participate in clinical research; authors articles for publication in medical/scientific journals; gives presentations regarding research projects at medical/scientific conferences. Typical Qualifications: EXPERIENCE: Completion of 3 years practice post internship training which may have included co-authoring articles for publication in medical/scientific journals and participation in presentations regarding research projects at medical/scientific conferences. Completion of 2 years of residency in an Accredited (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) residency program/board eligibility, may substitute for 2 years of the required 3 years post-internship. *Must have possession of a valid Physician & Surgeon's Medical License issued by the state of California. Speciality certification by the American Board of Family Practice REQUIRED* Ability to: Instruct residents, interns, and students in a designated specialized medical service; prepare comprehensive and concise records; conduct medical examinations; diagnose medical conditions; prescribe treatment and medications; analyze and interpret public health data; administer the medical component of public health programs; maintain effective relationships with staff and patients.
