Agape Inn Program, a residential/respite care facility for developmentally and physically challenged adolescents located in Holbrook, MA.

Nurse

Reports directly to the Program Director.

 Qualifications

Must be an R.N. or L.P.N.  Degree preferred, plus two years related experience. Prolonged experience with children or adults with disabilities a plus.

 Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide a model of leadership, cooperation, and respect to staff, residents, and guests Oversee the health and medical needs of residents and guests Participate in direct service to children and adults in the program Prepare and post chart summaries for incoming residents Register and check residents in and out  Prepare, dispense, and order medications for residents or guests Update changes in medications on a regular basis Oversee and check medication log for proper administration of meds Maintain medical records and doctors orders on children Accompany residents to medical and dental visits if necessary Provide training to staff on medical issues (i.e. first aid, oral medication, g-tube feeding, simple medication maintenance, effects of medication, etc.) Maintain inventory of medical supplies. Equipment, and special foods Maintain 1st Aid kits in houses, activity building, pool area, and vans Act as a liaison to medical community when necessary Participate and assist in staff training program and regular staff meetings Attend and participate in weekly clinical meeting with director Perform other duties as required
