Opening for a Opthamology Technician to work at Andrews Air Force Base in the Washington DC Area.
contractor with the US Air Force to provide CIVILIAN medical staff at all of the 65 bases nationwide providing services to the Active Duty personnel and their dependents on base.

ü Use ANY STATE LICENSE!
ü Not have to worry about Mal-practice . The USAF handles all professional liability claims for healthcare workers
ü Not have to deal with Managed Care
ü Work Schedule of: 7:30-4:30 Monday - Friday
QUALIFICATIONS
1.1 Experience. Completion of an ophthalmology technician course or 2 years of college is required.
1.2 Certification as COA (Certified Ophthalmology Assistant) through JCAHPO (Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology)
1.3 Knowledge of ocular anatomy; ophthalmic medications; visual physiology, optics; use and maintenance of ophthalmic instruments and testing equipment; ophthalmic and medical regulations; medical terminology; optometric technology; asepsis; ocular referrals and emergency medical treatment; patient transportation; medical ethics; medical administration; and medical service organization and function. Additionally, knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment, ophthalmic injectable medications, anesthetic solutions, and ocular disorders.
