For more information about our company and a list of our current openings please check out our website at http://www.lasikplus.com/ or call 1-866-763-3030.Ophthalmic Technician Primary Responsibilities: · Perform various pre/post op exams.· Prepare patients for treatment and assists ophthalmologist in surgery with microkeratome and/or laser operation. · Counsels patients by providing information about treatment, use of drops, drugs, and questions about surgery. · Ensures confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records. · Provides quality patient care, excellent communication, and customer service care to convert patients seeking Lasik into appointments. · Creates a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. Minimum Qualifications:· Experience in the medical field is required; optical field experience is highly preferred but not essential.· COA/COT experience preferred, but not essential.· Effective written and oral communication skills are a must!· Strong interpersonal skills.· Open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary. Salary is based upon experience. We are willing to train outstanding Medical Assistants, Surgical Technicians, or other health care professionals with a proven track record of excellent work ethic and commitment to providing quality patient care.
