Ophthalmic Assistant Clinic

Job Description Imagine Yourself...
Supporting the opthamologist and optometrist by preparing exam rooms.
Maintaining and calibrating equipment according to schedule. Ordering supplies, medications and glasses/contact lenses.
Preparing of the medical record, and preparation of patients for the exam. Preparation includes obtaining medical history, conducting vision screening tests and routine eye exams as directed by the physician. Documentation and communication of patient health information to the physician.

General Qualifications
Current training or certification as an opthalmic assistant. General knowledge of vision related disease processes and experience using the various screening equipment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Well developed ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Previous experience preferred.
