Opening for a Certified Medical Technician to work at Hill Air Force Base in Salt Lake City, UT

We are contractor with the US Air Force to provide CIVILIAN medical staff at all of the 65 bases nationwide  providing services to the Active Duty personnel and their dependents on base.

 

On These jobs you can:

ü  Use ANY STATE LICENSE!

ü  Not  have to worry about Mal-practice .  The USAF handles all professional liability claims for healthcare workers

ü  Not have to deal with Managed Care

ü  Work Schedule of:  Monday- Friday 7:30-4:30

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1.1 Knowledge. The following knowledge is mandatory:

 

1.1.1  Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology; nursing theory, techniques and procedures; team nursing; patient needs; emergency medical treatment to include cardiopulmonary resuscitation, aseptic technique, medical ethics, and legal aspects; prescription drugs and their administration; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment, military hygiene and sanitation; risk management, contingency operations, disaster preparedness, and chemical warfare; and transportation of sick and wounded.  Vaccination procedures; methods of properly administering intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections; allergen identification; composition of various vaccines; mechanisms of anaphylaxis and shock and their treatment; and pharmacology of various drug groups.

 

1.2 Education. For entry into this specialty, completion of high school with courses in general science, biology, psychology, and chemistry is mandatory.

 

1.3 Training. The following training is mandatory:

1.3.1  Completion of a medical assisting program recognized and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or, equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience (i.e., military training). 

 

1.4 Experience.  Experience performing nursing activities in the care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; conducting sub-professional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients.

 

1.4.1  Have at least 12 months of experience within the last 36 months, in an outpatient clinic setting.
